Serene mind practice is a powerful 3 minute meditation for dissolving stress and returning to calm.  This practice is not about conveniently shifting from unpleasant states to pleasant states; it is about eroding your tendency to move into stress frequently.

Serene mind practice, calms your amygdala or the fight or flight centre of your brain and enhances the activity in the prefrontal cortex – the region responsible for wise choices.

Regular practice of the serene mind breaks emotional addictions, it will take you towards a space of greater quiet where insights and solutions to life’s challenges can present themselves.

When is it best done?

This 3-minute serene mind practice is incredibly simple and yet utterly effective and can be done by people of any age. This meditation is designed for practicing daily or as needed whenever you feel stressed.

STEPS TO SERENE MIND:-

1.Sit still with your spine erect. Gently close your eyes.
2.Take 3 deep conscious breaths.
3.Recognize the exact emotion that is arising within you now. Is it irritation, anxiety or confusion or is it joy, gratitude or love.
4.Observe the direction of the movement of your thinking – Is it entangled in the past or the future? Or is it in the present?
5.Move your attention to your eyebrow center. Visualize or feel a tiny flame move from your eyebrow center into the middle of your brain.
Hold your attention on this flame in the middle of your brain for a few moments.
